Rebuilding Long Eaton’s High Street Together

A business-led partnership focused on confidence, connection, and long-term resilience in our town centre.

Why We Exist

Long Eaton’s high street matters to our community.

It is where people meet, trade, work, and build relationships. When confidence in the town centre weakens, businesses feel it, residents feel it and opportunities narrow.

The Long Eaton Business Partnership brings local businesses together to strengthen our high street and support sustainable growth that benefits the people who live and work here.

We are focused on practical action, long-term thinking and working constructively with partners across the town.

Our Approach

High street renewal is not driven by one issue alone.

It depends on confidence, connection and economic resilience working together.  Our work is organised around three connected priorities.

Restoring confidence in the town centre

Strengthening connection and local identity

Strengthening connection and local identity

A thriving high street begins with public confidence.

We work collectively to improve the day-to-day experience of Long Eaton for businesses, customers, and residents.

This includes:

• Working with partners to address community safety and antisocial behaviour

• Raising practical issues such as parking, accessibility, and the public realm

• Acting as a coordinated and constructive voice for local businesses

Our aim is a town centre where people feel safe, welcome, and confident to spend time and money.

Strengthening connection and local identity

Strengthening connection and local identity

Strengthening connection and local identity

Footfall follows belonging.

We help businesses feel part of something larger than their individual premises and strengthen relationships across the town.

This means:

• Improving communication between local businesses

• Encouraging collaboration and shared activity

• Promoting local events and opportunities

• Helping residents and businesses feel connected to what is happening locally

A thriving town depends on relationships and shared identity, not transactions alone.

Building long-term economic resilience

Strengthening connection and local identity

Building long-term economic resilience

Lasting renewal requires durable local enterprise.

We want to retain more economic activity within Long Eaton and support the next generation of business and employment.

This includes:

• Encouraging local procurement and supply chains

• Supporting skills, work experience, and entrepreneurship

• Working with schools and partners to raise aspiration

• Championing Long Eaton as a place to start, grow and sustain a business

Our focus is on long-term resilience and stewardship, not short-term uplift.

A Business-Led Partnership

The Long Eaton Business Partnership is led by local businesses and supported by partners across the town.

We believe that sustainable renewal comes from collaboration, clarity, and shared responsibility.

If you are a business owner, resident or organisation that wants to play a part, we would welcome your involvement.
