Paul Goodman is a commercial finance professional and business leader with more than two decades of experience supporting growing UK businesses.
He is Chair of Goodman Corporate Finance and previously served as Chair of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (2015–2024), representing brokers and lenders across the UK and engaging regularly with government, regulators and financial institutions on issues affecting SME finance and business growth.
Paul lives and works in Long Eaton. His involvement in the Partnership reflects a long-term commitment to the town and a belief that strong local economies are built through coordinated leadership, responsible access to capital, and practical collaboration between businesses and community partners.
Through the Long Eaton Business Partnership, Paul is focused on supporting a resilient, confident, and economically active high street that works for the businesses, residents, and future generations of the town.

Duncan Gooch is a local GP and senior health system leader. As part of the Senior Leadership Team at Erewash Health Partnership, he works across general practice, community services, and system partners to improve local health services and develop new models of neighbourhood care.
Duncan is actively involved in shaping national discussions on the future of primary care and integrated health systems. Locally, he is passionate about supporting collaboration between organisations that strengthen the Long Eaton community.

Emma Cavers is a passionate local independent estate agent dedicated to transforming the way property is bought and sold in her community. Having always lived in Long Eaton, she brings deep local knowledge and genuine care to every client relationship.

Lizzie is a qualified teacher with over 20 years’ experience across a range of educational settings. She has held senior leadership roles such as SENCO and English Lead, and brings strong project management experience through leading whole-school initiatives, alongside contributing to ISI and Ofsted inspection processes, with a focus on evidence gathering and school improvement.
Alongside her teaching responsibilities, Lizzie has strengthened partnerships and supported positive outcomes for young people through a range of collaborative projects with Derby County Community Trust, the University of Nottingham, Rolls Royce, and local community services, including the police and fire service.
In addition to her work in education, Lizzie is a business owner and an advocate for young people. As a member of the Long Eaton Business Partnership, she is committed to strengthening collaboration within the local community and creating opportunities for the next generation to thrive in business in Long Eaton.

Roxanne is also a Regional Board Member at The Lifted Project, where she works to foster high-growth entrepreneurship among women with an ambitious goal to increase female-founded enterprises by 50% over the next three years.
Her nearly two decades of experience in commercial finance, paired with her hands-on approach, make her a passionate advocate for both SMEs and women-led ventures across the UK.
